PROBUS Club of Owen Sound

Welcome to Owen Sound PROBUS Club!

Owen Sound Probus Club became part of Probus Canada Organization on Wed. Oct. 17, 2018 with 148 members. Currently there are over 240 Members in good standing. 

Probus was originally started in England in 1966, now with over 5,000 Clubs internationally, this social organization is still growing around the world.

People need to be social to maintain good health and have the joy of living. This club provides those age 55+ retired and/or semi retired people with the opportunity to share social activities providing regular contact. The real heart and soul of our club is its 30+ Interest Groups (see the Interest Group page for more information) . 

October 19, 2022 a new President and Management Committee were voted in, to transition from the Club Formation Committee. This Committee is actively working to continue to enhance our website, and we encourage all our members to take full advantage of the features it offers.

All activities are coordinated by the Members. Interest Groups, which meet according to Member wishes, depending on time of year, type of activity etc.

The Club monthly General Meetings resume Wednesday September 20, 2023, after taking a Summer break. Online registration will be set up shortly for Members who wish to attend any of our monthly meetings planned now through to 2024.
